Research Grants

The "Agios Epifanios" Cultural Academy - Institute of Studies, Research and Culture aims, in collaboration with academics, educational and scientific bodies and institutions, to develop Research Programmes, for the realization of its goals.

The Academy seeks to support innovative ideas and original research projects that aim to strengthen and promote the historical, religious and cultural ties of Cyprus with other countries of the region. 

The research projects could examine, topics such as literary production, theology, the study of manuscripts and languages, and generally topics from the fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences.

By awarding Research Grants, the Academy seeks to support the on-site (in situ) research undertaken by academics, mainly from academic and research institutions from the wider Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East region, in archives, archaeological sites, ecclesiastical and other monuments, artefacts, in Cyprus, in an attempt to encourage an in-depth examination of the culture of Cyprus and its connections with other countries of the wider region.

Research Grants could be awarded to university students at all stages of their studies, young scholars in the early stages of their research, senior researchers and academics, involved in the fields of the Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts and Culture, individuals and groups.
