An exhibition structured in two sections, titled \"God was revealed - The people rejoieced<\/b>\" invites visitors to explore the history of Christmas and the traditions of the Twelve Days of Christmas.\u00a0<\/p>

GOD WAS REVEALED<\/strong><\/p>

The Birth of Christ is the central event in the history of the world and the beginning of the salvation of humanity, an event that is expressed through\u00a0<\/span>doxology and thanksgiving from the faithful, hymns and icons.<\/span><\/p>

\"What shall we offer Thee, O Christ, who for our sake hast appeared\u00a0on earth as man? Every creature made by Thee offers\u00a0<\/span>Thee thanks. The angels offer Thee a hymn; the heavens a star; the Magi,\u00a0<\/span>gifts; the shepherds, their wonder; the earth, its cave; the wilderness, the manger: and we offer Thee\u00a0<\/span>a Virgin Mother.<\/span><\/p>

Through the image of the Nativity, the mystery of the\u00a0the incarnation and the spiritual greatness of the feast is immediately understood.\u00a0<\/span>Christmas, as a reality connected to the revelation of the\u00a0<\/span>the Word of God and with His incarnation from the Holy Spirit and Mary,\u00a0<\/span>the Virgin, and as an event related to the physical circumcision and the\u00a0<\/span>the Baptism of Christ, and with His presence among the saints, as in\u00a0<\/span>well as St Basil, are introduced in the exhibition.<\/span><\/p>

At the outdoor exhibition organized by the \"Saint Epiphanios\" Cultural Academy.\u00a0selected icons are presented that originate from\u00a0<\/span>non-occupied parishes of the Diocese of Constatnia and\u00a0<\/span>Ammochostos. The icons are accompanied by the narration of the events.\u00a0<\/span>given through texts of the New Testament.<\/span><\/p>

\"The viewer is invited to explore the story as it is interpreted by\u00a0unique brush of iconographers from various schools and eras, and\u00a0<\/span>handed down from the sacred texts.<\/span><\/p>

THE PEOPLE REJOICED<\/b><\/p>

In\u00a0the second section aspects of the folk worship of the Twelve Days in Cyprus are presented through texts and sketches\u00a0<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
