The "Aktis" digital library could become a digital depository of material related to the Hagiography of Cyprus, preserved in manuscripts, in printed editions and other books, as well as material related to the cultures and religions of the wider region of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.

The main goal of creating a digital repository accessible to researchers is to contribute to the promotion of research in the field of the Hagiography of Cyprus, an integral part of the culture, history and Orthodox Church of Cyprus, as well as history, cultures and religions of the wider region.

The "Aktis" could become a tool facilitating the study and preservation of cultural heritage.
