Agia Napa
The Holy Monastery of Panagia Agia Napa hosts the "Saint Epiphanios" Cultural Academy in its premises and is a place with a rich past.
Archaeological excavations were carried out at the Monastery in 2019 by the Department of Antiquities, which brought to light important findings.
The Monastery will accommodate in its premises the Institute of Studies, Research and Culture in 2024 and a Museum in 2026.
The development of a Museum is conducted in collaboration with an international research team.
Recent excavations at the Monastery contribute significantly to the re-evaluation of the monument. The findings discovered during the excavations undertaken by the Department of Antiquities, Cyprus, will be exhibited in the Museum.
The Museum will be open to the public in 2026. It will host permanent exhibits, which will allow the visitor to discover the history of the Monastery of Ayia Napa and aspects of history, culture, daily life and of the economy of Cyprus, also through interactive, multimedia and digital applications.
Temporary exhibitions organized by the Academy will also be presented.
For more information visit the Museum website.
